Janine Wooster

Occupation:  Retired Complex Needs Manager For Primary Education

Type of Governor: Appointed Governor (Member)

Special Interest: Special Educational Needs

Governance roles in other educational institutions –   Chair of governors at a Bexley special school.

I have worked in special education for over 30 years as a teacher in mainstream and special schools and for almost 20 years as team leader of the Bexley Statutory Assessment Service. Working with schools, parents and children to ensure that those children who need to access a Statement of special educational needs or an Education, health and care plan are able to receive the help that they need in school.

I have had a number of roles on different governing bodies in Bexley and other neighbouring local authorities. I have a high degree of knowledge of SEN policy and law through my training and my experience.

I welcome the opportunity to use my skills, experience, and knowledge for children and SEN to support and challenge Days Lane primary school and to help the school to move forward in the future ensuring that all of the children’s needs are being effectively met.

Shirley Moore

Occupation :  Retired Headteacher

Type of Governor : Appointed

Special Interest :  Curriculum

My grandson attends Day’s Lane and I know how much the school values children’s achievements and how much staff care about providing a stimulating and caring learning environment. I am passionate about every child’s right to receive the best possible education and I believe Day’s Lane School strives constantly to achieve the best for each individual pupil. As a parent governor I hope I can support the school in their journey to becoming an outstanding school.
