We look forward to seeing parents/carers at our Spring Term parent assemblies.

Headteacher's Welcome (Mrs Trusty)

Days Lane is a very popular and successful community school providing an inclusive, caring and stimulating learning environment for children aged three to eleven. The school has a tradition of high academic standards and offers an exciting range of enrichment and extra curriculum activities. Our Ofsted inspection in September 2016 confirmed that Days Lane is a good school with outstanding features. At Days Lane children’s attainment is outstanding, they enjoy school, behave well, and feel extremely safe. Even though we are large school, every single child is important to us and valued.

We believe that education is a partnership. Staff, governors and parents/carers work closely together to support children’s learning and community links are strong. We strive for excellence and set high standards for all. Good can never be good enough for our children and we aspire to be an outstanding school. Children’s learning, achievement and well-being are at the centre of all that we do.  We encourage children’s progress and celebrate their achievements. We are always looking for ways to further improve and build on what we have already achieved because we believe that children deserve the very best.

I hope that your find the information on our website useful. If you have any questions or would like to visit the school and see first-hand what it is like to be a learner at Days Lane then please contact us.

Mathletics is an award winning, interactive website that aims to improve pupils’ maths skills through fun activities linked to the National Curriculum. We use this engaging website as part of our maths learning in class and have provided your child with a username and password to access the website from home to complete activities that have been set by the teacher and to play maths games by themselves or compete against other children locally or internationally.

The website can be accessed from any computer or IPad connected to the internet. To sign in, please visit www.mathletics.com

To encourage children to further their maths learning, certificates are awarded weekly in class or celebration assembly to children who have earned points for a bronze, silver or gold certificate. Please encourage your child to use Mathletics as often as possible to develop their understanding of maths in a fun way.
