Curriculum Committee
This committee is responsible for ensuring that the school provides a broad and balanced curriculum which is exciting and creative, offering many opportunities for all pupils to learn and achieve their best.
Governors focus on the progress of all children across the school including our Nursery pupils and look at the systems which are in place to support learning, evaluating how effective they are in continuing to maintain the high standards of education Days Lane is known. We also ensure that children with additional educational needs, at both ends of the spectrum, are provided for giving them every opportunity to achieve well. Governors review and agree policies relating to the teaching and learning that takes place in school, providing continuity of practise across all year groups.

Finance, Staffing and General Purposes Committee
The main focuses of this committee are setting the school budget and monitoring spending against the school improvement plan. It also reviews the spending of the Pupil Premium funding and the Sports Premium Grant; details of how these two funding streams are used to support pupils can be found under the ‘About Us’ tab.
Governors agree the staffing structure for the school and together with the staff, decide on improvements to the school buildings, allocating funds where appropriate. This committee also monitors Safeguarding and Health & Safety provision with in school, reviewing and agreeing policies relating to these areas when needed.
